I know I can be a little stubborn sometimes
You might say, a little righteous and too proud
I was looking for a way to compromise
Thinking maybe I could work things out
I thought I had all the answers
Never giving’ in
But you loved me all along
And I admit that I was wrong
CHORUS
All I know is I’m lost without you
I’m not gonna lie
I could never be strong without you
I need you by my side
If I ever thought we’d never be together
Cause of all my foolish pride
Don’t know what I’d do
I’m lost without you
I keep trying’ to find my way
But all I know is
I’m lost without you
I keep trying’ to face the day but
I’m lost without you
Your the only one who gets rid of these blues
When I fall you catch me every time
The way you give me clarity when I’m confused
Just to hear your voice can ease my mind
Oh my world’s so cold at night
When I wander far away
Only you can make it right
No I’m not too proud to say
CHORUS
I keep trying’ to find my way
But all I know is
I’m lost without you
I keep trying’ to face the day but
I’m lost without you
I know that you can hear me now
You make the pain just go away
Stop all the tears from rolling’ down my face
CHORUS
I keep trying’ to find my way
But all I know is I’m lost without you
I keep trying’ to face the day but
I’m lost without you
I’ve been thinking that lately, I’ve written more serious stuffs. And visitors of this site might think that I am a really serious type of person. Maybe, but there’s more to people than we perceive them to be. But, I couldn’t protect myself from your scrutiny. So, whatever it is that you’re thinking about me, I grant you freedom. Each person has an opinion anyway and sometimes I doesn’t have to matter all the time. Although it does, on many occasions.
Anyway, these are the things I’d like to add in this site or write in my next posts (when I’m not so busy anymore)
How about you? Do you have any suggestions? Feel free to add a comment or contact me through email.
For the fast 30 or so minutes i’ve been skimming web resources for daily devotionals. i liked this one for kids. They’re simple and have practical applications for life that can be understood by kids; or well, for people like me who refuse to grow up in some ways.
I’ve also searched for the online site of Joyce Meyer because next to Selwyn Hughes, she’s my most favorite book author. In fact i would want to read all her books in my lifetime . Currently, I’m rereading "Battlefield of the Mind: Winning the Battle in Your Mind."
Although some texts of it I can already rephrase on my head, each time I read it, there are new revelations. In fact feel that the book was made for me. Or for people who are like me: fighting battles each second, waging a war of thoughts Satan has programmed and has been feeding on my mind all this time. This book offers hope to me, much like how I was blessed with the Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren. I was a negative thinker who wanted to be optimistic about the life God has planned for me. I need to change and I think and I’m still in the beginning of a long process of steps I have to take, to be free and not to be a prisoner of the deep troubling mind-battles anymore.
i’ve read past articles about managing emotions. I think most people have this as a problem area: envy, jealousy, hatred, lust, etc. I’ve read it somewhere that a good test to see if your not doing right is this:
"If you would be ashamed of doing something or you hesitate (meaning have second thoughst) doing it then it’s more likely to be something bad, that’s why you;re a little counscious."
Hmmm. Yeah, it does makes sense. Speaking of emotions, it’s so complex to explain. It’s not entirely a bad thing, but we shouln’t be living based on emotions. Emotions are like pendulums, they swing from one point to another; and another again. If you aren’t very feeling happy today, then start acting like you are happy. They say the rest will follow.
OK. Back to what I’m supposed to be doing,
I am thankful
… for the gift of life
… for my family
… for every moment I’m breathing
Actually today, I received some bad news. It’s bad because it has tremendous impact on my future. If I gaze intently on the gloomy side of it, I think I could have committed suicide. Well, I am still quite private person, so I won’t divulge the details. It looks like there’s very little hope left… and I’m hanging by a thread.
Well, I cried…
… talked to myself
… reasoned with my mind
… sympathized with my heart’s feelings
… and hanged on that little small faith I have to God
… and relied on His strength
The good thing was that, my mother encouraged me a lot. She was silent but I know she was hurting too! She sympathized with my decision to be still, quiet and sober. Actually she said nothing at all but it said everything.
My friends would never knew how painful it is for me. It’s stupid but I prefer to keep it myself. But I know they are always available if I choose to. I am a listening ear, but I don’t like talking about my feelings.
Glad, this post will not ask me back and make me elaborate. Something really unfortunate happened but I’m giving thanks. I am happy. I couldn’t be happier if life were so simple.
And thank you to my soul twin, who’s always with me even if the world is crumbling down. I’ve been in my worst these days, but like a real twin, he sticked it with me. Thank God, you’re heaven sent!
Disclaimer: I am not pregnant. How would I be?
These are just some bittersweet minces of meaningful insights I learned I need to do in life:
